Being Effective

"The degree to which you can be with what is, is the degree to which you can be effective with what is."

So many times when it comes to us wanting to increase our performance, wanting to create great results, wanting to improve our relationships or anything in that matter, we tend to get stuck in trying to figure out the content of our experience.

We try to find out how to solve our thinking, our feeling, our behaviour in the matter, thinking that will somehow alter what we deal with.

But how effective can you be in finding the right strategy if what you are dealing with is different from what you think you are dealing with?

What if you are trying to solve the problems of ghosts when ghosts don't exist?

Over the course of our training people got very clear about these ghosts and saw them for what they are.

The ghost of not being good enough, the ghost of thinking you can't, the ghost of a limited identity.

And then the ghost of a world you are dealing with. Some of them saw how they were dealing with a world they made up when they were six or eight years old, not an accurate sense of how the world really is, but a ghost (interpretation) of a world that lived on for them till they are 30, 40, 50 years old and all their strategies were based on a world that didn't exist.

As a human being we don't tend to see the world as is, but through a filter of interpretations and assumptions we made sometime in the past and many of them never got updated.

When we step into being with what actually is there we enter a world full of possibility, a world in which we can choose how we engage with it. And that is power.
