How was your path?
7 years ago I sat in my first coaching session.
I had previously worked as a professional dancer for 8 years.
And I had reached a point where I wanted to redirect my life in a new direction.
I had always been interested in psychology, philosophy, and the mind, as well as how to master the body.
As a dancer and choreographer, I became fascinated by the idea of creating art that makes people question their current way of living. I felt that many of us are somehow sleepwalking through life, with more attention on our inner narrative than on the world out there. And I had just been on quite a journey with my own mind.
Two weeks before this meeting I was sitting in, I had an experience that completely changed my relationship to thoughts.
Until that point, I was in a pretty dark phase. Not dramatic, but somehow empty. I was functioning, but I wasn't really living.
Then, on a quiet night, a thought came to me: What if thoughts are just thoughts? Not me, not the truth – just phenomena that arise and pass?
That sounds simple. But it literally blew me away.
Since then, I've been working to deepen this understanding – for myself and with others.
And now, 7 years later, it has become the Being Institute.
How was your path? What made you who you are today?
