Life is a Game
And you are the player and the game master.
Is life really a game?
Who knows. But looking at life as a game has profound and powerful implications.
It gives you the ability to recreate the game, choose games within the game, and most importantly, it gives you authorship over the player.
When you play a computer game with a character, you are limited by the running game. But within the game, you can visit many different places, acquire many different skills, and take on many different quests.
Life = the ultimate open world game with infinite possibilities.
Some people feel offended when told that life is a game.
"You mean it's not serious? Don't you take life seriously?!?!?!?!?!"
These people often also live very serious lives, with very serious problems and very serious suffering.
I claim that there is no problem that cannot be met with dignity and lightness, without minimizing the depth of the problem.
When you play a game and get stuck, you look for solutions, you ask other players, or you check the manual. It triggers creativity and curiosity.
When you imagine your life as a game and get stuck, you have the same options.
If you don't like the game you're currently playing, you can create a new one.
You are not just the player, you are the game master.
And if you go really deep: You are also the creator of the game itself.
What game are you playing right now?
Do you like it?
If not – what would be a game you'd love to play?
